Taijiquan, with its unique elegance and profound cultural depth, has captivated countless martial arts enthusiasts. Among them stands Gu Yuan— an international martial arts elite from China, whose exceptional skills and tireless dedication have made him a leading figure in promoting and spreading Taijiquan worldwide.
谷源，1969年12月出生，中国共产党党员，硕士研究生，安徽省马鞍山市武术协会副会长。太极名家、一级裁判员、一级教练员、一级社会体育指导员。自幼习武，曾经学习过华山拳法、六合刀法和九节鞭等传统武术项目。后拜师于国际武术名家李国强先生门下，系统学习《杨氏府内派太极拳、剑、球》、《武当太极拳、剑、拂尘》。
Gu Yuan, born in December 1969, is a member of the Chinese Communist Party, holds a master’s degree, and serves as the Vice President of the Ma’ anshan Wushu Association in Anhui Province. Recognized as a Taiji Master, National First-Class Judge, First-Class Coach, and First-Class Social Sports Instructor, he began practicing martial arts in his youth, training in traditional disciplines such as Huashan Quan (Huashan Fist), Liuhe Dao (Six Harmonies Broadsword), and Jiujie Bian (Nine-Section Whip). Later, he became a disciple of renowned international martial arts master Li Guoqiang, systematically studying Yang-style Fu Nei Pai Taijiquan, Sword, and Ball as well as Wudang Taijiquan, Sword, and Horsetail Whisk.

Gu Yuan has earned numerous accolades at domestic and international Wushu and Taijiquan competitions:
2020年，参加迪拜世博会世界太极拳大赛，获得“武当63式太极剑”一等奖、“武当新龙形剑”一等奖。
2022年，参加马鞍山市第四届“诗城论武”武术俱乐部比赛，获得“武当63式太极剑”一等奖、“董青长剑”一等奖。
2023年，参加安徽省第十三届传统武术比赛，获得“武当63式太极剑”一等奖。
2024年，参加中国武术联合会指导举办的广州太极拳交流大赛，获得“府内派太极拳”一等奖、“府内派太极球”一等奖、“武当新龙形剑”一等奖。并在“名家赛”中凭借“武当63式太极剑”胜出，被李正、马春喜、刘善民、杨志芳、李国强等大师联名推荐，获得“太极名家”称号。
2024年，参加安徽省第十四届传统武术比赛，获得42式太极拳一等奖。
2024年参加，获得“国强杯”2024年香港国际武术太极拳网络大赛“陈氏24式太极拳”一等奖、“36式太极刀”一等奖，并被授予“国际武术精英”称号。
2020: Won first prizes in Wudang 63Form Taiji Sword and Wudang New DragonShaped Sword at the Dubai Expo World Taijiquan Championship.
2022: Claimed first prizes in Wudang 63Form Taiji Sword and Dong Qing Long Sword at Ma’anshan’s 4th “Poetic City Martial Arts” Wushu Club Competition.
2023: Secured first prize in Wudang 63Form Taiji Sword at Anhui Province’s 13th Traditional Wushu Championship.
2024: Dominated the Guangzhou Taijiquan Exchange Competition (hosted by the China Wushu Federation) with first prizes in Fu Nei Pai Taijiquan, Fu Nei Pai Taiji Ball, and Wudang New DragonShaped Sword. He also triumphed in the “Masters Competition” with Wudang 63Form Taiji Sword, earning the title of “Taiji Master” endorsed by legends Li Zheng, Ma Chunxi, Liu Shanmin, Yang Zhifang, and Li Guoqiang.
2024: Won first prize in 42Form Taijiquan at Anhui Province’s 14th Traditional Wushu Championship.
2024: Achieved first prizes in Chenstyle 24Form Taijiquan and 36Form Taiji Broadsword at the “Guoqiang Cup” Hong Kong International Wushu Taijiquan Online Championship, where he was also honored as an “International Martial Arts Elite. ”

2022年11月8日，执裁马鞍山市第一届“银耀乐活”离退休干部运动会太极拳比赛。
2022年11月19日，执裁“奔跑吧少年”马鞍山市中小学生体育（高中、初中、小学）三级武术联赛。
2023年9月，执裁马鞍山市第十三届运动会中老年太极拳剑比赛。2023年11月，执裁马鞍山市第十三届运动会中小学武术套路比赛。
November 8, 2022: Judged the 1st Ma’anshan “Silver Vitality” Retirees’ Taijiquan Competition.
November 19, 2022: Served as a judge for the “Run for the Youth” Ma’anshan School Wushu Championships (high school, middle school, and elementary divisions).
September 2023: Judged the Ma’anshan 13th Sports Games MiddleAged & Senior Taijiquan/Sword Competition.

中华传统武术以其独特的魅力和深厚的文化底蕴，成为了中华民族的瑰宝。它不仅仅是一种体育运动，更融合了哲学、文化和艺术的综合学问。而谷源，正是这一传统武术的积极弘扬者和推广者。在广西省南宁市“国强太极院”和安徽省马鞍山市武术协会的支持下，创立了“马鞍山市武术协会国强太极院教学基地”、“马鞍山市武术协会杨氏府内派太极拳研究会”。
Chinese traditional martial arts, a treasure of the nation, blend philosophy, culture, and artistry. Gu Yuan has emerged as a passionate advocate for this heritage. With support from the “Guoqiang Taiji Academy” in Nanning, Guangxi, and the Ma’anshan Wushu Association, he founded the Ma’anshan Wushu Association Guoqiang Taiji Academy Teaching Base and the Ma’anshan Wushu Association Yangstyle Fu Nei Pai Taijiquan Research Society.
通过言传身教，在短暂的一年时间内培养出200多名杨氏府内派太极拳爱好者，在马鞍山市举办的多项活动中参加展演，产生了较大的影响。2024年7月，参加中国武术联合会在广州举办的第四届太极拳交流大赛中，因为成绩突出，“马鞍山市武术协会国强太极院教学基地”、“马鞍山市武术协会杨氏府内派太极拳研究会”分别被授予了“中华武术推广贡献奖”，并授牌。在2024年8月8号举办的马鞍山市全民健身活动中，由百名爱好者集体表演了“府内派太极球功法”。
Within a year, he trained over 200 enthusiasts in Yangstyle Fu Nei Pai Taijiquan, whose demonstrations at Ma’anshan events have garnered significant attention. At the 4th Taijiquan Exchange Competition in Guangzhou (July 2024), both institutions he established were awarded the “Chinese Wushu Promotion Contribution Award” for their outstanding achievements. On August 8, 2024, during Ma’anshan’s National Fitness Day, a hundred practitioners performed Fu Nei Pai Taiji Ball in a grand showcase。
谷源在担任马鞍山市老年大学和马鞍山市花山区老年大学教学工作期间，不仅在学校传授“府内派太极拳”系列功夫。还利用业余时间，辅导各类群体的太极拳爱好者，培养出上千名基层骨干。尤其是“太极球功法”，因其内在的健身效果和外形的刚健柔美，引起了马鞍山地区武术爱好者的极大关注和学习热情，从而形成了广泛的习练群体。2024年，被品牌赛事安徽省马鞍山市第五届“诗城论武”武术俱乐部比赛列为正式比赛项目。

Gu Yuan believes the revival of traditional martial arts requires collective societal effort. Through workshops, public demonstrations, and collaborations with institutions, he actively engages communities in preserving and promoting this cultural legacy.
